Discovering Ashtanga yoga many years ago transformed Monica’s (she/her) fitness and mindset, sparking a deep curiosity and inner calm. Since then, she has explored various yoga styles, weaving these teachings into classes that enhance mobility, compassion, and release tension in both body and mind. People often say her classes are “an adventure”. By harmonizing breath with movement and stillness, she aims to inspire playfulness, mindfulness, and self-trust. Her classes offer tools to nurture resilience through life’s inevitable ebb and flow, whether managing stress, catching a bus, or wrestling an octopus.
As a long-time certified fitness instructor, she began her yoga training in 2002 with Iyengar yoga (unfinished) and earned her Yoga Alliance certification in Sivatantra Yoga in 2022. The journey of learning and growth continues! She applies much of the wisdom gained through her yoga practice to her ‘day job’ in the world of reconciliation.
